Topic: LNS to be retired for the summer
Posted: Sunday, July 24, 2016 3:09:05 PM
I'm sorry guys. My work schedule changed to an early start Wed & Fri. Embarassed

I hope I can participate more often when LNS returns in the Fall. Speaking for myself, shorter tasks with a target finish of ~1 hr for leaders could help. Some nights were pushing 2 hours. As much as I enjoy longer tasks, it's just more than I can do at that hour.

Thanks again for all your efforts Tom, Dan, Mark and anyone else I'm unaware of or forgot to mention.

Also the file posting process still seems pretty simple to me, the most annoying thing about this is that it is that at least for me condor saves the ftr and igc in the virtualstore folder deep in windows. Simple fix though, just put a shorcut of that folder in your quick access area.

I recall the virtualstore feature in Win7. Using Win8 for Condor now, but, the shortcut idea may still be adaptable. I was thinking of turning off UAC or installing condor as admin.

When I actually had time to devote to studying Condor & soaring in general, I used ShowCondorIGC, flying with ftr ghosts and Condor Club's viewer, as well as ShowGliderDAT, XCSoar functions & hanging out on teamspeak debriefing after races to analyze everything all the time. Of course we flew turn area tasks twice a week and thursdays were always ridge night. I really enjoyed that format. And full servers in winter. Monthly rankings of 60 or 70+ pilots. Top ten meant so much more then. Has it really been less than 3 years?

What happened?

Didn't realize we were talking about brand new MifflinSD/HD.

Missed that memo. As did others judging by number of pilots in USNS tonight (2).

Kudos to Thomas Berry.

Too bad he didn't post the scenery on Condor Club so it could be downloaded in a reasonable amount of time.

Oh well, maybe next time.

Good luck everyone.

There shouldn't be a space between the file name and the extension and there should only be one extension. Try deleting the space and the second extension by renaming the file first.

Then extract.

Or is that a typo? Are there actually two extensions with two spaces? A zip of a zip? "Mifflin .zip .zip" ?

Or perhaps try opening the folder and extracting the file inside the folder?
